We're hiring an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a local healthcare provider where you'll be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders
Minimum Requirements:
- Associate or bachelor's degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program
- Current state license in good standing with the State License Board
- One year experience as an RRT
- BLS certification
- Experience operating invasive and non-invasive ventilatory equipment
- Experience with oxygen, aerosol, and nebulizer devices
- Experience performing oximetry and capnography monitoring
- Experience performing 12-Lead EKG and basic arrhythmia recognition
- Experience performing pulmonary function studies
- Experience assisting with respiratory-related procedures including bronchoscopy, percutaneous tracheostomy, and chest tube placement
- Experience with tracheostomy care, including insertion and removal of tracheostomy tubes
- Experience performing arterial puncture
- Experience with mechanical ventilation setup, self-testing, operation, maintenance, and monitoring
- Experience performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation according to BLS and ACLS guidelines
- Experience with insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes via free hand technique and/or video laryngoscope system
Assignment Details
- Schedule: 3x12
- Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
