Description

On behalf of the Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) Center of Excellence (COE) for Psychosocial and Systemic Research, and in partnership with the MGH Department of Psychiatry and Harvard Medical School (HMS), Dr. Corinne Cather is recruiting a full-time, one to two-year postdoctoral fellow. The overarching goal of the position is to conduct research to improve the lives of people with mental health disorders and will start in the Summer of 2021.

The postdoctoral fellow will receive weekly mentorship from at least two senior staff and will be expected to use results from pilot studies, as well as their previous work, to apply for external funding at the K or R01 level.

The selected candidate will join a vibrant clinical and research community at MGH, located in Boston’s West End. He/she/they will be recommended for an academic appointment as a clinical and/or research fellow at HMS and will receive ample encouragement and mentorship to pursue scholarly publications. The fellow will have access to MGH’s employee benefits plan.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Designing and conducting pilot research
  2. Capitalizing on opportunities to analyze electronic medical record data to answer research questions related to the area of interest

  2. Fluency in another language
